World Cup season is here!!! The 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament kicks off on Thursday 14th, June. In line with FIFA’s tradition, the first match of the tournament is between the Host Nation Russia as they take on Saudi Arabia.
Our very own Team Nigeria has been dubbed one of the favourite teams to watch as well as one of most entertaining nations at the World Cup, this is owing to the fact that we play with so much flair, emotion, and heart. All of which come together beautifully to captivate fans around the world.
A few things you ought to know about our very own Team Nigeria;
Gernot Rohr, a former German player and one-time coach of Niger’s national team is the current coach and boss of The Super Eagles of Nigeria. The Super Eagles boss is currently in camp with his 30 man team ahead of our friendly games against DR Congo on Monday, May 28 and England on Saturday, June 2.

As a team The Super Eagles of Nigeria has had 5 previous World Cup appearances, 3 out of which we made it as far as the Round of 16; with Russia 2018 being our sixth appearance.
Drawn in Group D, the Super Eagles would be going head to head against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in the group stages of the tournament.

June 16: Nigeria vs. Croatia at 8pm
June 21: Nigeria vs. Iceland at 4pm
