FOR THE ROMANTIC ONES IN FEBRUARY

The season of love is upon us and the romantic couples are gearing up to express their love to their significant order. Some would do that in a grand style with magnificent gestures and others would do so in the simplest form possible and it would be memorable. However you want to do it, whichever way you want to do it, the movies are always a start. And as expected the movie producers are prepared for you, read below a list of movies you can call romantic this February.

 

In the movies department,

 

JACOB’S LADDER a thriller movie is about Jacob Singer after losing his brother in combat returns home from Afghanistan only to be pulled into a mind-twisting state of paranoia as he realizes that his brother is alive and life is not what it seems. Set to be released on the 1st of February.

 

A drama movie titled THEN CAME YOU tells the story of Skye, a spunky teenager with a terminal illness who befriends Calvin, a 19-year old hypochondriac, and he helps Skye carry out an eccentric bucket list of things before she dies.  If you loved “The Fault in our Stars” you’ll most likely enjoy this movie to be released on February 1.

 

If you are a fan of Taraji P. Henson you will surely want to watch WHAT MEN WANT. She is sports agent has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When she gains the power to hear men’s thoughts, she is able to shift the paradigm to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA’s next superstar. This movie is set to be released on the 8th of February.

 

If you are a fan of Psychological thriller then EVERYBODY KNOWS is for you. The movie follows Laura (Cruz) on her travels from Argentina to her small home town in Spain for her sister’s wedding, bringing her two children along for the occasion, amid the festivities the eldest daughter is kidnapped and this made various family and community tensions surface. This movie is set to be released on the 8th of February.

 

 

ISN’T IT ROMANTIC is about a New York architect Natalie who works hard to get noticed at her job but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city’s next skyscraper. And if things weren’t bad enough, Natalie, a lifelong cynic when it comes to love, has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, then she wakes up to discover her life suddenly becomes her nightmare. This movie is set to be released on the 13th of February.

 

 

ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL set to be premiered on February 14.  The movie set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido, a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens she has no memory of who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in.

 

 

This comedy movie FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY to be premiered on the 14th, is about a reformed gangster and former wrestler Ricky, his wife Julia, daughter Saraya and son Zak make a living performing in tiny venues across the country. Ricky and Julia want a better life for their children and when brother and sister get the chance to audition for the WWE, it seems the family dream is coming true and all their troubles will be solved.

 

RUN THE RACE to be premiered on the 22nd is about two desperate brothers who sacrificed their today for a better tomorrow. Reeling from his mother’s death and his father’s abandonment, Zach, an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brothers’ ticket out of town.

Saturday, February 2nd, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 4 The hit US comedy returns to Netflix UK for one last season

 

Requiem series 1 Spooky BBC drama about a cellist’s quest for her real identity in rural Wales

 

Ray Romano: Right Here, Around the Corner The comedian releases his first comedy special in 23 years with jokes about surviving marriage, ageing and how to choose friends to return on the 5th of February

 

Poldark series 3 Aidan Turner-led BBC1 drama based on the Winston Graham novels to return on the 6th.

 

Homeland: Season 7 Latest series of the political thriller starring Claire Danes to return on the 18th.

 

Suburra: Season 2 The Italian story of crime, religion, and politics in the city of Rome continues to return on the 22nd.

 

Van Helsing season 3 The fantasy horror series returns on the 25th.

Coming up first on the list is Social Media Week, 4 – 8 February, 2019. This is a must attend for business owners, youths and CEOs as well as an educationist.

 

Argungun Festival. This four-day festival in Nigeria takes place in the north-western state of Kebbi.

 

Lagos Theater Festival: Founded by British Council in 2013, this week-long cultural extravaganza showcases over 600 artists from around Nigeria, Europe, Africa, the UK and the USA performing at 20 venues across Lagos

 

With all these movies, tv shows and events February promises to be a fun and memorable one for the romantic people and the well the other ones. Do have a wonderful February filled with love, hope and dreams.
